Supper Club: Woodland Floral Design

Join Amy Potter for the April Supper Club at Middleburg Community Center Makers Space creating magical woodland floral designs. Bring the magic of the Summer forest to life in this workshop making Francoise Weeks inspired floral designs. Utilizing natural elements such as wood pieces, fern, orchids, and other textural elements like pods and berries, this workshop will cover both mechanics and design in how to make woodland centerpieces. Students are encouraged to bring their own (ethically) foraged items like lichen, nuts, moss (though we'll have a lot of this on hand, too!), twigs, grasses, etc.! 

In all of Amy's workshops, she cultivates a supportive, fun, and inspired environment of creative exploration! She has one basic rule: no self-criticism! We are all creatives at heart and each of us expresses that creative heart in unique ways! The very act of creating IS the point, what we make is just a beautiful by-product of self-expression. So have fun, explore, make a fantastic mess....it's part of cultivating your creative soul!

In this workshop participants will: 

• Make and take home a beautiful woodland inspired centerpiece
• Recieve guided instruction on mechanics, techniques,structure and elements of design
• Enjoy a seasonal supper, with wine & beer available for purchase (most dietary restrictions can be accomodated)

Class is limited to 16 participants and must have a minimum of 8 participants to fill.

Workshop cost: $111

*Two discounted 'Helper' Tickets will be available for $66 for participants who would offer their help in setting up/breaking down. They must be availablable 30 mins prior to class and 30-40 mins after class to help clean up.

Class will be held in the Makers Space located on the third story (up two flights of stairs!) of the Middleburg Community Center. Unfortunately, the Makers Space it is not ADA accessible at this time, but please check back as we will be offering other workshops in the future that are.
