About the event

Join From the Earth Creative for a journey with the Ancestors 'Into the Earth', a witchy gathering to honor the season of Samhain & Halloween with pumpkin carving, hot cider, chili supper, and a ritual/ceremonial bonfire!

We'll start the afternoon with a few hours of pumpkin and turnip (the 'roots' of the tradition) carving fun, and for those who are adventurous, I'll have some special carving tools, so you can get super crafty with it!! We'll have cider and a chili supper to enjoy while you create some pumpkin magic! Please feel free to bring your own beverages!

Once we've carved our pumkins and turnpis (which we'll use in the ceremony), we'll close the evening with a Samhain ritual and bonfire, celebrating our ancestors, the spiral into winter and into the magical cauldron of the 'womb tomb' of Mother Earth.

2:00-6:00 Pumpkin (BYOP) and Turnip Carving & Chili Supper *I will provide the turnips, you bring one special pumpkin for our ritual, and as many others as you'd like to carve.

6:30-8:00 Samhain Ritual & Bonfire

If the weather does not cooperate, I will reschedule the ritual for another date and just have an 'open studio' for pumpkin carving and chili all day!!

Suggested donation: $22

Venmo: @fromtheearthcreative

YOU WILL NEED TO BRING THE FOLLOWING:

~Pumpkins for carving

~Something to place on the altar that represents your ancestors

~*Optional* an offering to leave in the 'Goddess Garden'

~A mug to use in the ritual, so choose one that feels 'special' for whatever reason (maybe your grandmother gave it to you, or it's handmade, or it's just your fave mug to have coffee and tea in!)

HOUSEKEEPING

For covid safety, we request that you are fully vaccinated to attend as the weather will be a bit chilly and we may utilize some indoor spaces for carving.

Dress warmly, as most of the activites will be outside. We will have two bonfires going and some hot cider to keep you warm!
